East Yorkshire business Simplytrak – a specialist provider of vehicle immobilisers and tracking software – will launch its latest product this week.
SimplySecure has been designed in partnership with a leading courier operator, putting an end to opportunist and organised theft.
Telematic technology prevents the taking of a vehicle with keys left in the ignition – rendering it inoperable if the door is opened.

It will be showcased at Fleet Summit in Northampton and at Tech Week Humber.
Developed by a dedicated team of software and hardware integrators to address the requirements for niche and specialist customers, the in-house team in Market Weighton creates innovative bespoke solutions to deliver fleet management systems, lone and remote worker tracking, asset tracking and bespoke telematics.
Whenever the driver’s door is opened with the keys still in the ignition, the horn will sound, hazard lights will flash and the vehicle is instantly immobilised – with a remote reset only available by contacting the courier’s head office.
Ian Wood, managing director, said: “We are again looking forward to meeting with clients looking for bespoke solutions for their fleets. The event organisers have pre-matched attendee requirements with Simplytrak’s solutions so that we can make the most of the networking opportunities.
“After so many Covid restrictions the team and I are looking forward to finally meeting more fleet managers face to face and to having the opportunity to demonstrate all that Simplytrak has to offer.
“It’s been a challenging yet exciting 18 months. Back in March 2020 the sky seemed to be falling in on the business world. A year and a half later and the company is in good health with everything pointing towards us celebrating a strong 2021 now.
“Business is a rollercoaster and whilst we’d never choose to repeat this period, it has also been transformational in many ways for Simplytrak and as a business we are excited for the future.”
Mr Wood ran his own telematics business before joining Simplytrak in 2015 as business development manager, taking the MD role in 2019.
At Tech Week Humber, Greg Halliday the company’s product development manager, will be hosting a talk during Tuesday’s Expo focussed on telematics software and showcasing the SimplySecure design features.
