AEM this year launched its CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tech Talks series of events to help educate construction industry professionals on what technology can be found on the market today and – perhaps more importantly – what the potential return on investment (ROI) it can provide adopters over time.
A wealth of live and on-demand content served to provide end users with uniquely valuable information on a variety of topics as part of the association’s CE Sector Board priority to drive increased adoption by end users.
“AEM recognizes the need to offer equipment end users educational opportunities to arm them with the tools and information they need to do their jobs more efficiently and positively impact their bottom line,” said AEM Director of Education Programs and Technology Brooke Konopacki. “Our CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tech Talks have provided contractors with both firsthand – and on-demand – access to both cutting-edge technology and real-world perspectives on how they can grow their business.”
Live Events
CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tech Talks debuted with a livestream event held in February of this year, one which detailed the construction of the People Mover Project at the Las Vegas Convention Center and highlighted some of the technology used to complete the underground transportation system.
In April, a second event was held to showcase the latest information and insights on telematics. A panel discussion featuring a trio of companies – Schlouch Incorporated, Barriere Construction Co. LLC and Branch Civil – focused on using both telematics and equipment data to their full potential, as well as leveraging technology to support field and business operations.
A third and final live event was held at The Utility Expo in September, and it featured a demonstration of various machine forms and applications for machine control (including compact track loaders, tilt rotators, and basic solutions that are easily accessible by customers).
On-Demand Content
AEM is pleased to now offer more than 90 videos and nearly 12 hours of content from its three livestream CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tech Talks held in 2021 – featuring expert opinions and perspectives from contractors, certified trainers, technology solutions providers and OEMs. Topics covered include machine control, grade control, telematics and cost justification.
