Electric vehicle company BYD and Levo Mobility LLC on Tuesday said they would collaborate to deploy up to 5,000 battery electric vehicles over the next five years.
Levo Mobility is a joint venture of Nuvve Holding Corp., affiliates of Stonepeak Partners LP and Evolve Transition Infrastructure LP. The JV offers fleet-as-a-service solutions to help customers switch to electric vehicles, it said.
The collaboration will see the integration of Nuvve’s vehicle-to-grid, or V2G, technology with a mix of BYD battery electric vehicles, the companies said. Through a preferred financing partnership with BYD, Levo plans to purchase up to 5,000 medium and heavy duty V2G-enabled BEVs, the companies said.
