Job Summary
The Telematics Product Owner – Sr Consultant I is responsible for contributing towards defining, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of one or more telematics-based features or experiences. This position will assist with establishing strategic vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize the customer and enterprise value of their features. This role will have several opportunities to interact with other departments and leaders both within and outside of Product to present relevant data and facts to support potential recommendations on initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Supports Line Strategies and Plans
- Understand and contribute to the achievement of short and long-term strategies to achieve market share growth and profitability targets on a countrywide basis
- Participate on teams and gather relevant facts in support of strategies to ensure the integration and execution of product, pricing and risk management for countrywide usage
- Manage / perform unique work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes or channels and navigate obstacles to deliver the work product
- Develop subject matter expertise on existing telematics product features and experiences, including an understanding of other comparable features in market.
- Lead ideation on creation of new or evolution of existing features and experiences.
- Support innovation in all aspects of the product development lifecycle
- Utilize advanced knowledge to identify issues and implications on operational parameters to get new products/projects implemented
- Develop business recommendations and communicate finding to various level of senior leaders
Integration and Execution
- Actively participate in coordinated efforts across the organization to facilitate the implementation of initiatives
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members to ensure implementation success
- Perform activities to ensure appropriate development and execution of products
- Measure and communicate results; make recommendations to leaders on redirection opportunities of efforts
- Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy
- Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy
- Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks and assist with prioritizing the overall product backlog
- Provide support on countrywide product and or process changes
- Provide foundational analysis that provides input into business cases or result evaluations
- Conduct, with guidance, on-going and/or post-implementation measures to assure proper execution of process and practices that support the line
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Background in telematics and/or mobile app features
- Demonstrate sense of curiosity and desire to solve problems
- Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency, strong commitment and accountability for achieving results
- Knowledge about business in general, knowledge of industry and company economics;
- Ability to understand business tactics to support changing business strategies and direction;
- Collaborates to implement decisions and / or initiatives in an integrated manner
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Consistently achieves superior results
- Proven ability to effectively network and communicate with different types and levels of staff, both written and verbal
Compensation Data
Compensation range for this position is $59,500 to $92,500. Salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
